Work:  Assistant District Attorney, (1981-1985), Chief Deputy District Attorney, (1971-1981), Cross-designated as Special Assistant United States Attorney.; Deputy Attorney General, State of California (1966-1971), Special Assistant United States Attorney in both the Southern and Central Districts of California, member of the U.S. Strike Force on Organized Crime located in Los Angeles.

Bench:  Associate Justice, Court of Appeal, State of California: Appointed to the Fourth District Court of Appeal California Governor George Deukmejian on October 13, 1988; Judge of the Superior Court, County of San Diego; Appointed to the Superior Court for the County of San Diego by Governor Deukmejian on April 30, 1985; California Judicial Council – Appointed to the California Judicial Council, the policy and rule-making body of the California Judicial Branch in 1997 Chair of the Executive and Planning Committee (1998-present).
