Education: B.A. Occidental College (1965), J.D. California Western 1970.  Admitted to California Bar 1970.

Work:  Deputy City Attorney, City of San Diego (1970-71), private practice (civil litigation) with McInnis, Fitzgerald, Rees, Sharkey & McIntyre (1971-88, partner in 1976.  Since 2003, mediation and arbitration.

Bench: appointed to San Diego Superior Court on February 9, 1988 (Presiding, 1994-95; Supervising Judge of Family Court, 2001-03 and Presiding Judge of the Juvenile Division, 1996-2003). 

Bar/other:  President, San Diego Inn of Court (1983-84); ABOTA (since 1976); SDCBA Board of Directors (1980-83); founding member and President, William B. Enright Chapter of American Inns of Court (1993-94); Judge of the Year, SDTLA (1990); Judge of the Year, Consumer Attorneys of San Diego (1995, 1999); Legal Professional of the Year, SDCBA (1999); Award for Extraordinary Contributions to Youth and Families of San Diego County, San Diego Psychiatric Society (2002).
