Summary

Produced by:  The San Diego County Bar Association’s Wellness Subcommittee and the San Diego Family Law Bar Association

Lawyers are about three times as likely to suffer from depression and are twice as likely as the general population to experience suicidal ideation.  New research suggests that legally prescribed and medically managed psychedelics may be a viable alternative to suffering lawyers. In this presentation, Dr. Miguel Alvarez and attorney Michael Cindrich will discuss the legal and medical landscape of psychedelics. At the end of the presentation, attendees will leave with an understanding of what these medicines are and how they might impact their mental well-being.
